1. Hybrid Varieties

Hybrid rice varieties are varieties of rice plants that are the result of a cross between two or more populations, which are distinct species and genetic (breeders and Descendants). The advantages of hybrid rice is as follows:
  • If implanted on 1 hectare of land, will be able to produce 10-12 tonnes of grain.
  • More uniform growth of rice and rice produced from hybrid rice fluffier and fragrant.


While the weakness of hybrid rice is as follows:

  • Hybrid rice seed can only be used in one planting, although it can be grown for the second time, the result is the harvest will drop dramatically.


For an example of this hybrid rice among others are: Intani Intani 1 and 2, Adirasa 1, Adirasi 64, PP1, H1, Rokan, SL 8 and Sl 11, Sembada B3 and B9.


2. Seed Varieties

3. Local Varietas
